You receive an error message when opening a RealData program that says “Cannot run the macro ribbonLoaded”
This error message may occur with any RealData product. We know this error can occur in Excel 2003, but may appear in other versions of Excel.Another key symptom of this issue is the appearance of two entries of the RealData menu.
Solution:
The solution lies with disabling a RealData add-in that was not properly terminated on close of the product.
- Open Excel but be sure to close any RealData workbooks.
- Click on File in the upper left of the Excel menu
- Click on Options at the bottom of the left menu
- Click on Add-ins in the left menu of the new window.
- Click the “Go” button next to Manage Excel add-ins at the bottom of the main window.
- Deselect (uncheck) any add-ins containing the name “RealData”
- Click OK
Close Excel then relaunch a RealData program. Your software should now function correctly.
