This applies to Macintosh users.
When you attempt to print reports to PDF format you receive the vague error message:
“Export as fixed format failed”
We consider this to be a bug in Excel. We have found no direct solution but recommend that you reboot your computer. Please also check to be sure you are running the latest release of Excel on your Mac. In the top Excel menu, over on the right, click on Help > Check for Updates.
We have found that rebooting does solve the problem in many but not all cases.
