When opening a RealData file you get an error message like this: “Excel found unreadable content in ‘[YourFileName].xlsm’. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes. After clicking yes, one of the following error messages occurs. “Removed Part: /xl/vbaProject.bin part. (Visual Basic for Applications (VBA))”
There are two possible issues:
Solution 1 – You are using Excel 2007. If this is the case, you will need to upgrade Excel / Office. RealData software requires Excel 2010 or later.
Solution 2 – The VBA component of Microsoft Office is damaged or not installed. Uninstall and reinstall Office. You may find that running a repair install of Office may fix the issue, although we have heard from some customers that this is not effective.
