Real estate investing is an excellent way to build wealth, but it can also be a snare for those who lack preparation, planning, and realistic expectations. In this brief series of essays called 10 Commandments for Real Estate Investors, I try to guide you through some investment principles you can live by. From cautionary tales about the process of due diligence and the hazards of self-styled “experts,” to discussion of identifying your investment objectives, I urge you to focus on best practices.

This is a good read for new real estate investors. Although it would seem a “shortcut” for new investors, a guide to avoid previous mistakes and mishaps of veteran investors, it is still a good take on real estate investment 101.
This short, quick book will allow new investors to learn from others’ mistakes instead of their own. It is also a great read for experienced investors as a reminder; I reread a chapter every week.
Thanks Frank for another great book-
Just read this. Nice summary of good practices and advice that new investors should heed. Good reminders for seasoned investors as well.
